If you don't want to take a cab to go downtown, you can use the public transportation. It's really cheap - 3,50 RON - and fast. Also, the coffee from Gloria Jean's is the best!

The only safe way to get a taxi is to use the touch terminals on the right side, as you exit the luggage pick up section. You will be able to select company and, more important, price per km.

A modern and efficient airport. Take 283 bus line to the downtown. Cheap and fast (30 min utmost)

I was very surprised at the restaurant scene in Bucharest. They really have a lot of variety and Romanian wine is excellent.

A lot of food and beverage choices while you wait for your flight. Amazing perfume shop located inside the Departures section.
